ENYA’S LETTERS

Dear Father Tomas, Priest, Abba,

I have had an incredible adventure and humbling learning experience since my last letter. An elder Elven man apparates in front of my 3 comrades, a Bear Totem Spirit and me. As actions escalate into violence 2 of my companions are spelled into unconsciousness and the third paralyzed, leaving the Bear to protect 2 of my companions.

I anxiously thought through all the spells, scrolls, cantrips, items gifted to me. Scanning, searching, seeking an avenue to heal, to rectify, to punish this Evil GlassStaff Wizard. I felt tied in knots of fear and anxiety. I felt immobilized, faint, dissociated. I wanted to collapse. Luck, my God and skills that I have worked diligently on came to a positive end.

As my comrades regained movement and thought I was faced with a dichotomy. Two of my comrades beseeched me to do mutually exclusive/contradictory actions with a magical staff. I felt controlled/coerced into an action I did not think necessary. Here I learned a life lesson in working with others for a common purpose. The lesson did not come quickly. Only with extended conversation. We all come with different spirits and skills. I learned that Rage is engaged in with a primal ferocity. I did not appreciate nor fully understand there is no right or wrong to be discerned. There is retribution. A staff became shards of glass, for good or evil or indifference. It was a final act. I am at peace with that. I have become more aware of our differences and our common purpose.

I believe I can become a more complete comrade in arms and purpose.

Yours in faith and love,

Enya Gemflower
